Cape Town water outages will hit large parts of the metro from 3 to 10 May 2026, after the City of Cape Town confirmed back-to-back shutdowns at the Faure and Blackheath water treatment plants. The Faure pipeline recharges from 23:59 on 5 May, while Blackheath shuts down from 07:00 on 6 May until 23:59 on 10 May.

Affected areas include Rondebosch, Mowbray, Oranjezicht, Bergvliet, Constantia, Goodwood, Delft, Hout Bay, Ocean View and Lakeside. The City has urged all residents to store drinking water and limit non-essential use during the window.
