WESTERN CAPE. – Two suspects were arrested on Tuesday on charges of murder following the fatal shooting of David Manuel and Alfonso Fisher in Gugulethu on 8 February.
Sergeant Wesley Twigg reports that the murder of Noem My Skollie actor David Manuel and his friend was investigated by provincial detectives from the serious and violent crimes unit.
“An investigation revealed that family members took out life insurance policies, which have been identified as a possible motive,” he said.
The suspects, a man and woman aged between 30 and 40, are in custody and will appear in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday on charges of murder and fraud.
“Further arrests are not ruled out.”
