SASSA Older Persons Grant June 2026: payment date confirmed
The SASSA Older Persons Grant June 2026 payment date is confirmed for Tuesday, 2 June 2026 under the official 2026/27 payment schedule released by SASSA in March.
Payment amounts
Following the April 2026 grant increases announced in the February 2026 Budget:
- Beneficiaries aged 60 to 74 receive R2 400 per month.
- Beneficiaries aged 75 and over receive R2 420 per month.
Where the date falls in the cycle
SASSA staggers the monthly cycle over three days to ease pressure at ATMs and pay points. Older Persons grants are paid first on 2 June, followed by Disability grants on 3 June and children’s grants on 4 June. Grants under review or with banking issues are paid on the exceptions date, 5 June.
If your June 2026 payment is missing
Money paid into a bank account is available on the payment date. Wait one to two business days for banking processing before reporting a missing payment. If the grant is still missing, call SASSA on 0800 60 10 11, send a WhatsApp to 082 046 8553, or visit your nearest SASSA office with your South African ID.
