If your SASSA payment is not received on the expected date, there are a few checks to make before assuming something has gone wrong.
Wait for banking delays
Delays between SASSA releasing a payment and the money reflecting are common, especially with smaller banks. Beneficiaries are advised to wait 24 to 48 hours before reporting a missing grant. Money stays safe in the account once paid and does not disappear if it is not withdrawn immediately.
When to get help
If the payment still has not arrived, beneficiaries should visit their nearest SASSA office for assistance with banking details, verification or a pending review. SASSA has also added a fourth monthly payment date that acts as a prompt to resolve missed payments. Confirm your expected date on the June payment schedule or through SASSA.
