Charlize Berg's twin brother, Jaco van der Berg, who was missing, has been found in a field in Pretoria.
According to Berg's update on social media, he has been found, but there is still little further information about his condition and the circumstances in which he was found. The family says he has struggled with addiction for years and was in a psychotic state at the time of his disappearance. They asked that no assumptions or speculation be made about his disappearance. The family also emphasised that Aloe Valley Rehab should not be blamed for his disappearance, since the rehabilitation centre operates according to a specific approach and policy.
The family expressed their gratitude to everyone who helped search for him, shared information, sent messages and prayed with them. They now ask that their privacy, and especially that of the person involved, be respected as they deal with the next steps.
