GAUTENG. – Three families on smallholdings in Andeon, west of Pretoria, lost everything in devastating fires and escaped with only the clothes on their bodies. Two houses were destroyed and at least 15 dogs died in the fires.
The Emergency Support Team (EST) visited the area to assess the families' most urgent needs and is calling on the community to help with clothes, shoes, food and other essential items. Lawrencé Lee of the EST says three families have been identified who need assistance. The needs include clothes and shoes for children and adults, as well as food and other basic necessities while the families try to rebuild their lives.
People who want to help can contact Lawrencé Lee on 074 851 7365 to arrange donations.
