SASSA SRD R370 approved but no money — what to check
If your SASSA SRD R370 approved but no money has reached your account, the gap between approval and payment usually comes down to one of a handful of routine causes. Approval on the SRD portal does not mean payment lands the same day.
Confirm your payment date first
SRD R370 payments are not paid on a single fixed date. SASSA processes them in batches across the end of each month. Your individual payment date appears on the SRD portal once it has been assigned. Check it at srd.sassa.gov.za.
Check your payment method
The SRD grant can be paid by bank deposit or by Cash Send code to a participating retailer. If the SRD portal shows Paid but the money has not arrived, the usual reasons are:
- The bank account on record does not match your ID, or is no longer active.
- Your registered cellphone number has changed, so the Cash Send SMS code never arrived.
- A normal banking processing delay of one to two business days after the payment date.
Where to get help
If the issue is not resolved within a few business days, contact SASSA on the toll-free line 0800 60 10 11, send a message on WhatsApp to 082 046 8553, or visit your nearest SASSA office with your South African ID document. For the latest official guidance, visit www.sassa.gov.za.
