SASSA SRD R370 referred status: what it means
A SASSA SRD R370 referred status means your application has been flagged for additional verification. It is not a decline, but the SASSA system has noticed something that needs a closer look before the grant can be approved or paid.
Possible reasons
- Identity verification could not be matched automatically against Department of Home Affairs records.
- The name on your SRD application does not match the name on your bank account.
- Duplicate applications have been detected on your ID number or cellphone number.
- An income source has been picked up that needs manual review.
What to do
- Confirm that your full name and ID number are spelt exactly as they appear on your Home Affairs records and on your bank account.
- Confirm that your cellphone number is still in use and is registered to you.
- Do not submit a new SRD application while the referred status is active.
- If the status does not change after several weeks, visit a SASSA office with your South African ID document.
