Kelsey-Jae Meyrick of IPSS Medical Rescue said Scottburgh's lifeguards carried the girl from the riverbank, after which a paramedic from IPSS Medical Rescue's advanced life support team stabilised her. The girl was then transported to hospital for further treatment.
