CAPE TOWN. – The Currie Cup fixtures for round four of the Carling Currie Cup Premier Division open with a top of the table meeting between holders Suzuki Griquas and log leaders the Fidelity ADT Lions in Kimberley on Saturday.

Kimberley clash headlines the round
Griquas held off a fast finishing Toyota Cheetahs side for a 24-21 win last weekend, while the Lions overpowered the Vodacom Bulls XV 42-19 in the Jukskei Derby to move to the summit. Both sides have two wins from three. Griquas beat the Lions 27-25 in last year’s final.
Just three points separate the top five. The Lions lead on 12 points, followed by Griquas and the Cheetahs on 11, the Sanlam Boland Kavaliers on 10 and the DHL Stormers XXIII on nine. No unbeaten teams remain after Boland and the Cheetahs both lost in round three.
The Vodacom Bulls XV return to Loftus Versfeld still chasing a first win of the campaign. They have collected one log point from three outings and conceded 122 points. The Airlink Pumas were the only travelling side to win in round three, beating Boland 20-15 in Wellington.
