Danny Jordaan (73), president of the South African Football Association (Safa), has been arrested for the alleged misuse of Safa funds.
The Hawks told Cape Town ETC that warrants for the arrest of the Safa head, Gronie Hluyo, and a businessman have also been issued.
It is alleged that Jordaan used Safa resources for personal purposes between 2014 and 2018.
Jordaan filed an urgent application yesterday to prevent his arrest. He will appear in court soon.
