NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION GRANTED

Notice is hereby given in terms of Regulation 4(2) of the EIA Regulations, 2014, that the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) has granted an Environmental Authorisation (EA) on 5 June 2026 for prospecting activities on Farm Surprise 33, Kuruman, Joe Morolong Local Municipality, Northern Cape.
In terms of regulation 4(2) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations of 2014, Samxon Mining and Engineering has been instructed to notify all registered interested and affected parties. Should you wish to appeal any aspect of the decision you must submit the appeal to the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries & Environment and a courtesy copy of such an appeal to the Department of Mineral & Petroleum Resources (Northern Cape Region), within 20 days from the date of notification and such appeal must be lodged as prescribed by Chapter 2 of the National Appeal Regulations of 2014, by means of the methods as prescribed below:
