WES-KAAP.

TAKING FLIGHT
Georgia Borges (Grade 11) is well on her way to earning her Private Pilot’s Licence and recently reached an exciting milestone in her aviation journey. Already the holder of a Student Pilot’s Licence, Georgia completed her Initial Solo Flight on 13 November 2025 — the very first time a pilot takes off, flies the circuit and lands entirely on their own.
A proud and unforgettable moment, this achievement earned Georgia her first pilot stripe, marking her official solo status. Adding to the special significance of the day, her instructor is Old Oak Alex Stockl (Class of 2016), guiding the next generation from the cockpit.
