Volgens die departement van minerale en petroleumhulpbronne is die aanpassing gebaseer op plaaslike en internasionale faktore soos ruoliepryse, internasionale produkpryse en die rand se waarde teenoor die dollar.
🔺 Petrol en diesel duurder
• 93-oktaan petrol – 20 c per liter duurder
• 95-oktaan petrol – 20 c per liter duurder
• Diesel (0.05% swawel) – 62 c per liter duurder
• Diesel (0.005% swawel) – 65 c per liter duurder
🔺 Paraffien duurder
• Verhoging van 44 c per liter (groothandel)
• SMNRP-verhoging van 58 c per liter
🔺 LPG-gas duurder
• Maksimum kleinhandelprys styg met 23c per kilogram, in die Wes-Kaap met 26c per kilogram
Die departement verduidelik dat die prysstygings hoofsaaklik te wyte is aan die hoër Brent-ruoliepryse wat gestyg het van 64,08 USD tot 69,08 USD per vat, stygende internasionale produkpryse en die rand wat gemiddeld sterker geword het teenoor die dollar.
