A police officer has been killed after being attacked by aggressive dogs in Dobsonville Gardens.

GAUTENG. – Assistant Officer Olga Mmaleho Bawa, a police officer, died on Thursday evening in Dobsonville Gardens after being attacked by aggressive dogs at a residence.

Brigadier Brenda Muridili, police spokesperson, told Nuusflits a judicial inquest dossier has been opened following Bawa's death, who was attached to the Roodepoort police station. According to police, a complaint about vicious dogs was received at approximately 18:50. Upon arrival at the residence, police officials found the body of a woman in the yard near the gate. Emergency medical services were summoned to the scene and declared her dead.
