Notice is hereby given in terms of Regulation 4(2) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014, that the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) has granted an Environmental Authorisation (EA) on 22 June 2026 for prospecting activities on Farm Almansnek 114 HT, situated in the Magisterial District of Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal.
In terms of regulation 4(2) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations of 2014, Samxon Mining and Engineering has been instructed to notify all registered interested and affected parties. Should you wish to appeal any aspect of the decision you must submit the appeal to the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment and a courtesy copy of such an appeal to the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (KZN Region), within 20 days from the date of notification, lodged as prescribed by Chapter 2 of the National Appeal Regulations of 2014, by the methods below:
