Junior Lifeguard, Braedon Powell rescued a man caught in a rip at uMlanga yesterday afternoon.
The patient had been pulled out to see almost past the end of the pier and was beginning to go under when Braedon arrived on scene and brought him safely to the shore.
We are incredibly proud of our young clubbie who performed admirably not only while off duty but while on holiday.
The Lifesaving South Africa motto is Vigilance & Service and Braedon carried that through to the letter.
