GAUTENG. – Yolande Maritz Fouchée (48), die eienaar en voormalige vroedvrou en verpleegster van You and Me-kraamsorgsentrum, is tot 23 jaar tronkstraf gevonnis.
Dié omstrede voormalige vroedvrou is soos Nuusflis voorheen berig het in die Pretoria-hooggeregshof skuldig bevind aan strafbare manslag en verskeie ander ernstige aanklagte wat verband hou met haar praktyk.
Alysia von Kloëg het die vonnis op die Noah’s Story Facebook-blad bekend gemaak en sê: “Justice was served Ice cold 23 years behind bars.”
Bawslady Chichie, wat self ‘n kind verloor en by die hof was, het gesê: “So many emotions. So many things to say. Too many tears to cry, definitely not how I thought we would spend Shumba’s birthday. From the times I wanted to off myself because of depression, to balancing motherhood & business. To being mocked, laughed at & called names for having lost my child. The moments I would switch off the light to feed Sage because she looked like her sister & I was scared that I would harm her. How losing my child almost broke my marriage because we just couldn’t heal each other. How my brothers took me in during my separation with my husband & they put my pieces together. Everything in between, oh My God! 5 yrs later, I fight battles daily, asking God why he would let my enemies rejoice over me. But today, today, He showed me that he is a GREAT GOD!!!!!!!!! 23 YEARS is not the glory for me, the glory is that this woman will never practise again & she will never harm other babies!!!
