The smash-hit Broadway and West End production Chicago the Musical is returning to South Africa in 2025 and it’s sexier than ever!
Showtime Management has confirmed that the award-winning production will open at Artscape, Cape Town, from Wednesday, 27 August to Sunday, 28 September 2025, before moving to Montecasino’s Teatro, Johannesburg, from Friday, 3 October to Sunday, 9 November 2025.

Chicago is produced by Showtime Management in association with Barry & Fran Weissler, with Associate Director Tânia Nardini and choreographer Gary Chryst re-creating the original New York production’s staging.
Award-winning South African Musical Director Kevin Kraak (The Lion King, My Fair Lady) will lead the 11-piece live orchestra, bringing the sultry, foot-tapping score to life.
