Christopher Logan het eksklusief met FiND iT gesels nadat ‘n video in twee dele wyd op sosiale media gedeel is.
Die belangrikste boodskap wat hy wil tuisbring, is dat hierdie aangeleentheid glad nie oor hom gaan nie.
In die eerste deel van die video word gesien hoe Logan vir sy vriend Thabiso Danca opkom in ‘n “rassistiese” insident en in die tweede deel hoe hy met geweld by die kroeg, Hank’s Olde Irish Pub uitgesmyt word.
Logan verduidelik dat hy nooit bewus was dat die video verfilm is nie, hy het ook nie toestemming daarvoor gegee, of toestemming dat dit versprei of iewers geplaas word nie.
En nee, daar is nie twee video’s nie. Wanneer een lang video op Twitter gedeel word, breek hy op in korter video’s wat hy ook nou eers onlangs uitgevind het.
Nadat Willem Petzer ‘n heel ander prentjie oor die gebeure op sy Facebook-blad geplaas het, het FiND iT Logan gekontak wat dadelik gewillig was om te gesels om sy kant te stel.
“Ek is net betrokke as Thabiso se vriend.
“Ek is nie polities verbind nie.”
Logan sê aan FiND iT dat enigiemand die EFF kan kontak en kan navraag doen of hy enigsins by hulle betrokke is.
Op ‘n vraag oor die DA-SRC-plakkaat antwoord hy dat hy wel saam met ander mense op universiteit verkies was en die mense saam met wie hy op foto’s verskyn was dié saam met wie hy gewerk het.
“Die foto en plakkaat is van ongeveer vier of vyf jaar terug.
“Hierdie is baie hard op my. Ek ken nie vir Willem Petzer nie en het nog nooit met hom gepraat nie, maar ek is gewillig en sal daarvan hou om met hom te praat.”
Logan plaas klem op die feit dat hy slegs ‘n normale persoon is wat ongemaklik is met al die aandag wat hom omkrap.
“Ek is lief vir my vriend Thabiso en beskou hom as ‘n broer.”
Logan sê hy is nederig oor al die positiewe reaksie op wat gebeur het, maar hy wil net hê die aangeleentheid rondom sy vriend moet regverdig aangespreek word die fokus op hom moet stop.

“This is Christopher Logan. He instantly rose to national fame and became an internet sensation after ‘defending’ his black friend after said friend was allegedly denied entrance to Hank’s Olde Irish Pub in Cape Town on the basis of his skin color.
“I did not comment on the viral video when it came out, as the facts pertaining to the story did not yet come out.
“First, let’s talk about what Christopher did:
“He released a video to the public of himself confronting the owner of the pub for allegedly denying his black friend entrance to the pub on the basis of his race.
“Then, he released a video of himself being aggressively thrown out of the pub by the bouncer for what he claims was him ‘standing up against racism.’
“Now that all the facts have come to light, backed up by video evidence I can give you the full story.
“Christopher’s friend, Thabiso Danca was denied entrance to Hank’s, as he did not have his ID on him to verify his age. The bouncer then told him that if he knew someone inside the pub that can verify his age, he will be allowed entrance. Thabiso called over a friend that told the bouncer he was of legal age. Thabiso enjoyed the rest of the night with his friends in the pub. Logan was not present on this day.
“The next day, Logan arrived at the pub and confronted a visibly surprised owner. He stated that his “friend was denied entrance to the pub as he didn’t have a white person accompanying him.” He made sure to have a friend recording a video of him shouting at the owner. Logan then released a part of the highly edited video on social media.
“As the altercation escalated, Logan proceeded to assault one of the owners of the pub. This was captured on CCTV footage. The owner did not act violent towards Logan during the entire altercation. It was at this point that Logan was forcefully removed from the pub by the bouncer.
“Logan also released a short video of him being tossed out of the pub by the bouncer, claiming it was because he “stood up against racism.”
“After the videos was released by Logan, the pub suffered massive losses, and had to close down.
“Logan is confirmed to be a youth candidate for the EFF, and all video evidence suggest Logan staged the entire event to raise to prominence for his campaign as EFF youth leader.
“The entire altercation turned out to be just another racial hoax, orchestrated by an individual with political aspirations.
“In the process a small business was financially ruined.”
