Tips for visiting a SASSA office
Arrive early — queues are longest after 09:00. SASSA does not charge any fee for any service. Anyone asking for payment to help you with an application is not SASSA. Many simple queries can be resolved without visiting a SASSA office, including grant status checks (via WhatsApp 082 046 8553) and SRD R370 applications (online at srd.sassa.gov.za).
